Indian Premier League twenty20 cricket achieved huge success even in very short time and now this league match attracts lots of player and viewer from the world. Inspired from the grand success of IPL T20   Posess International Sports Council (PISC) has come up with a plan to conduct the format of cricket match in Nepal .Nepal Cricket Premier League in mid-May this year.

The main target of the proposed league would be to promote Nepali cricket at the national and international level, said PISC President Pankaj Pawar on Tuesday. However explaining Nepal Cricket Association of Nepal’s (CAN) role in the league, he said: “First we will prove ourselves and then approach CAN.” He also added that they will conduct a knock-out tournament in May.
On the basis of the players performance in the tournament, they will then categorise the cricketers as best and ordinary.

The New Delhi based organizers have pledged to provide Rs 20, 000 to all the teams participating in the league. The winner will bag a purse of Rs 121, 000 while the first runner-up will take away Rs 51, 000. The best players of the first league will be selected for the Players´ Auction which will be held in Kathmandu.

The bidding for the best players will start from Rs 25, 000 while for other players from Rs 10, 000. Pawar said each participating team must have at least four Nepali players, while others can be foreigners. Altogether six teams - Biratnagar, Kalaiya, Kathmandu, Birgunj, Pokhara and Royal Nepal - will compete in the NCPL which will be held in November where players from Nepal and also India will compete.

President of CAN, Binay Raj Pandey denied any information about NCPL. “Neither any organisation nor an individual has informed us about organising any franchise style cricket tournament in Nepal.” Pandey said.
I wish the proposed league will also get the success and we can see Nepali player playing in Indian Premier League and some day in world cup.
